"When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers. "
- Henri Nouwen
Ever been atop Long’s Peak? I’ve been there once alone and once with my youngest son. The journey with my son was 10 times better. To have a counselor is to have one to journey with you up the difficult and often darkest mountains of life. My simple passion is to be a compassionate guide and equip you to journey up whatever seemingly impossible mountain you are facing and prepare you for the next one.
I cannot carry your pack or take the next step for you, but I can help you determine what you need to let go of and what you need to add. I can partner with you to rethink, reimagine, and acclimate you to new elevations before you take the next step.
Life is complicated, and full of pain and setbacks. My heart is to help you experience more freedom, deeper relationships, life-giving meaning, and a new perspective.
I have served as a pastor for nearly 30 years in both New Jersey and Loveland, Colorado. In those years I journeyed with people up many demanding mountains and tackled a few myself.
Though often the journey is painstaking, the view is worth it. At the top, we can see what we could not see in the valley: we glimpse how much we are beloved, we see that God has a way of healing for us and that no matter what you’ve faced in the past, God ain’t done with you yet.
I am a counseling intern with Strong Hope Counseling in Fort Collins, Co. Being an intern means I am currently completing my Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while I am learning from seasoned counselors. It also means that we can offer you a significantly reduced rate per session.
I work with men, women, couples, and families.
